Why would anyone make a new film of Clue when the one from the 1980s is such a kick? Well, it sounds like the new version is meant to be more of a mystery and less of a comedy, but really, how can you make anything but a comedy when your movie is based on a board game? And they could never top the cast of the original--OK, wait: if you had to cast a new version of Clue, who would you cast?

I totally agree.
I LOVE that movie! I love Tim Curry.

But if I cast the new version? Hmmm....
Definitely Jeff Goldblum....Steve Buscemi, John Goodman...
Lily Tomlin, Cloris Leachman, Angelica Huston...
Ha ha, I can't think of any young actors, especially funny ones. And my version would be funny.

Who would YOU cast??

Yes, they are never gonna top the original.

You have some good ideas! Hmm, probably Steve Carrell would be good, maybe Steve Martin. Queen Latifah would be funny. Ricky Gervais? I like Maggie Gyllenhall--maybe she could be Miss Scarlett.

Agreed! I love Clue. It's one of the movies I take out and watch when I feel crummy; it always makes me feel better.

"A global thriller and transmedia event that uses deductive reasoning as its storytelling engine." I can't decide whether that sounds awesome or totally hilariously awful.

A remake of Clue, though, sounds sensible compared to the news that they are actually making films of "Stretch Armstrong," "Candyland," "Ouija," and DEAR LORD IS RIDLEY SCOTT REALLY DIRECTING "Monopoly"?

So true. How and why would they make a movie out of Monopoly? Who would play the top hat? Who would star as the race car?

I would like to be the thimble, please. Also, could someone please tell me how they decided what objects to use as place markers for Monopoly?

Perfect! We'll cast the whole thing...

I always chose the top hat.
